The Philippines, similar to countries like Indonesia, has literally thousands of islands in its archipelago (7,107 islands at high tide and 7,108 at low tide). In addition, the Philippines has 73 provinces, 61 chartered cities and 74 dialects. Apo Island is a small island located just southeast of Dumaguete (found on the island of Negros in the Visayan Islands). Apo Island is a unique little island that has about 700 residents. Apo Island is famous for its SCUBA diving and snorkelling as there is beautiful coral, turtles and more. Although not an official time zone, everyone on Apo Island definitely has their watches and clocks 15 minutes ahead of official Filipino time. Therefore, for fun, timegenie.com has added "Apo Island Time" to our database.
